Improving Austria Ties

Austrian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Martin Weiss said the meetings held between Iran and other countries in Vienna as part of nuclear talks provide an opportunity for better relations.
He made the remark in an interview with a Prague-based western radio when asked whether hosting the Iran nuclear talks offers Austria a chance to promote ties with Iran, IRNA reported on Saturday.
“In my view every meeting that takes place presents an opportunity for improving relations; and our relationship with Tehran is long-standing.”
He also said, “Our relations with Iran are close and we have an embassy and a cultural center in Tehran.”
In addition, he said, “If a situation arises that we can reach agreement on a solution (to the nuclear issue), it will present Iran with a good chance to enhance its ties not only with Austria but also with the entire world.”
