The spokesperson for the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission told ICANA on Friday the recently approved bill requiring the negotiators to safeguard nuclear achievements in talks with the major powers aims to discourage the United States from seeking more concessions.
“The bill acts as a deterrent which will block the Americans’ excessive demands,” Nozar Shafiei said.
“The bill has been drawn up in such a way that whenever a problem arises in the implementation of the agreements on the part of the western parties, the Majlis will have the power to revoke the (prospective nuclear) deal automatically.”
