  There are still multiple stumbling blocks in talks between Iran and the major powers that are hampering efforts to work out a long-term settlement to the 12-year dispute over Tehran’s nuclear program, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov told Sputnik on Friday.

Iran and the P5+1 (the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany) are meeting in Vienna ahead of a June 30 deadline to reach a final nuclear deal.

“There is still no clarity on the (date of the) ministerial meeting. The agreement is indeed at a high level of (completion), but a number of questions are being resolved with a lot of difficulty; we have not yet reached a stage where there are just a few issues that are left for the ministerial level.”
