Iran and its international negotiating partners have not come to an agreement on whether to extend the deadline for talks on Tehran’s nuclear program, a western diplomatic source told Sputnik on Thursday. “The issue of talks extension as well as the date of the ministerial meeting are still unclear,” the source said.

Another source close to the talks also confirmed to Sputnik that the date of the ministerial meeting has not been agreed yet.

In April, Iran and the P5+1 (the United States, China, France, Russia, Britain and Germany) agreed on a political framework for a deal to resolve the 12-year dispute over Tehran’s nuclear program. They are working to a June 30 deadline to finalize the long-term settlement.
