United Nations special envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura and Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir Abdollahian exchanged views about the latest developments in the crisis-hit Arab country, according to a Foreign Ministry press release issued on Tuesday. The two sides underlined the importance of a political solution to resolve the Syria crisis. The UN envoy is expected to visit Iran soon for more consultations on Syria.
