Politically Motivated Charges

Judiciary Chief Ayatollah Sadeq Amoli Larijani told state television on Monday the allegations leveled against the Islamic Republic regarding its human rights record are "politically motivated," Fars news agency reported. He said Iran's High Council for Human Rights has always provided adequate responses to the charges, noting that the West has a double standard policy on human rights as they single out Iran to criticize it for employing practices which are also used in some other countries.
