Former vice president Mohammad Reza Aref told IRNA on Saturday reformists and moderates should reach agreement on a single list of candidates for the Feb. 26, 2016 parliamentary election.
“Reformists and moderates have no option but to reach a consensus and release a single list.”
“If we manage to reach such a consensus, then we will seek an alliance with some moderate principlists.”
He also said, “On the whole, we are pleased with the trend being followed by the reforms front, and I am optimistic that we will reach the consensus that I have urged often.”
