Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei donated 1,500,000,000 rials (about $51440 at official exchange rate) to a festival which is held annually on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan to help secure the release of the needy prisoners, who are jailed for failure to meet their financial commitments, by settling their debts, IRNA reported on Sunday.
