Iran denounced the latest deadly terrorist attacks in Yemen, saying the Arab country is being struck by the double predicament of terrorism inside the country and a foreign military aggression.
In a statement on Thursday, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Marzieh Afkham condemned multiple bombings that targeted the political bureau of the Houthi Ansarullah movement as well as three mosques in the capital Sana’a a day earlier, Press TV reported.
At least 31 people were killed and dozens more were injured in the attacks, which were claimed by the so-called Islamic State militant group. Afkham offered sympathy to the families of the victims of the attacks and hoped for an end to the Saudi military campaign and a ceasefire soon in Yemen to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid.
