The navy's 34th fleet repelled attacks on an Iranian commercial ship in the Gulf of Aden, Fars news agency reported on Thursday. Five boats belonging to pirates attempted to approach the vessel but were forced to flee after engaging in a fire fight with the naval fleet. Minutes later, the ship came under a second attack by the same pirates who had returned with 11 boats, but it was thwarted again by naval forces.
