A senior military advisor to the Leader has said that military forces should be prepared to counter possible military threats against the country at their source. “The source of possible naval threats against Iran will probably be in the Mediterranean Sea, the Red Sea, the Indian Ocean, the Gulf of Oman, or the Persian Gulf, and Iran’s armed forces should deal with the enemies’ possible threats and acts of adventurism at their source,” Major General Yahya Rahim-Safavi said on Saturday during his visit to the headquarters of the First Naval Zone in the southern port city of Bandar Abbas, the Mehr news agency reported. In addition, the general said possible future threats would be from sea and air, so it is necessary that maritime and air defense strategies be devised to defend the country.
