FM, Mexican Senator Confer

Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif met Chairperson of Mexican Senate Foreign Relations Committee Gabriela Cuevas Barron in Tehran on Tuesday, IRNA reported.

Zarif said Iran is keen to expand economic, political, cultural and parliamentary relations with Mexico.

The two countries can increase economic cooperation in various areas such as “oil and gas, renewable energies, automotive industry, aerospace and the environment,” he said.

The Mexican senator said her country attaches importance to its relations with Iran and has always sought to strengthen ties with the Islamic Republic.

She pointed to Middle East crises and said the only way out of the current critical situation is holding “dialogue and negotiations” to find political solutions.
