A member of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission dismissed as “interference in Iran’s internal affairs” a recent resolution by the US House of Representatives urging Tehran to release three Iranian-Americans jailed in the country.

“The move by US representatives to issue a resolution calling for the release of three culprits in Iran is meddling in Iran’s internal affairs,” Mansour Haqiqatpour told ICANA on Wednesday.

“They have issued a resolution for the release of three culprits, namely Amir Hekmati, Jason Rezaian and Saeed Abedini, but they should be aware of the fact that a culprit is a culprit and that for Iranian courts it makes no difference whether an individual holds a green card or not.”
