A member of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission told ICANA on Tuesday the United States is stalling for time in nuclear negotiations with Iran on a final deal. “The fact is that the United States’ aim is to kill time and prolong negotiations,” lawmaker Baqer Hosseini said. “It is over 12 years that Iran is engaged in talks and makes every effort to prove it is not in pursuit of nuclear weapons,” he said, adding, “We should accept that the American side is killing time.” He explained, “The failure to reach an agreement and the continuation of sanctions have put us under pressure… the pace of progress in Iran is very slow, and it’s exactly the westerners’ aim, so they have slowed down the pace of the talks.”
