Vital Assistance

Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi has described Iran’s support in the fight against Islamic State (IS) terrorists as vital for his country and said Iran was among the first nations that offered Iraq assistance.  Abadi said, “From the beginning of the conflict Iran sent experts to help Iraq stem the advance of IS.” “It was the Iranians who came (to our help) to save Erbil” from falling into terrorists’ hands, he added. The Iraqi prime minister made the remarks in an interview with BBC on Wednesday night.
