Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif traveled to Muscat on Monday for a brief visit to hold talks with his Omani counterpart Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah on the latest regional developments, IRNA reported. Zarif had traveled to Oman on April 8 and May 16 to meet Alawi. The Persian Gulf Arab state has played an intermediary role between Iran and the West in recent years on various issues, including the dispute over Tehran's nuclear program.
