Abdolreza Mesri was elected as spokesperson of the Majlis Presiding Board in the first meeting of the newly elected board on Monday, ISNA reported.
In the election of the presiding board on May 26, Ali Larijani was reelected as speaker to chair sessions in the last year of the current parliament.
The next parliamentary election is scheduled to be held on February 26, 2016.
Mohammad Hassan Aboutorabifard and Mohammad Reza Bahonar were also reelected as first and second deputy speakers.
In Monday's session, Ahmad Reza Dastgheib was elected as head of the Foreign Visits Committee, Bahonar was tasked with organizing meetings on the Sixth Five-Year Economic Development Plan.
