Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said despite some differences Iran has no problems with Muslim countries.
“Although sometimes commotion is created to affect (relations), we have no problems with Arab and Muslim countries and we have economic transactions with the neighboring countries despite the fact that we may have differing views on some issues,” Larijani said in an interview with the Arabic-language newspaper al-Vefagh, ICANA reported.
“For example, we have disagreements with Turkey while the level of economic relations is high, and it is no reason to put aside our friendship.”
On the Saudi-led military campaign against Yemen, Larijani said, “The problem arose from the Saudis’ mistake about regional issues. They might have thought that they would be able to dominate the region by taking such action, but it was a great mistake.”
“The issue of Yemen is painful for Muslims… It is strange that a Muslim country blockades the Yemeni people and prevents aid to the injured.”
