Minister Meets Tajik President

Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli, who was in Tajikistan to participate in the meeting of interior ministers of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states, met Tajik President Emomali Rahmon on Friday, IRNA reported.  Rahmani Fazli extended the greetings of President Hassan Rouhani to the Tajik president and hoped the two countries will be able to take measures to help defuse the current crises gripping the region in cooperation with SCO member countries.  Rahmon hailed the increase in collaboration between the two nations, especially over the past decade, expressing pleasure with the current status of bilateral ties, hoping the two sides could enhance cooperation by signing joint agreements to combat crimes.  In addition, he called for greater trilateral collaboration between Iran, Tajikistan and Afghanistan in the campaigns against terrorism, extremism and drug trafficking.
