Thursday marks the 26th anniversary of the passing of the founder of the Islamic Republic, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini. Iranians across the country and abroad hold ceremonies to commemorate the occasion. Every year, a large number of people travel to Tehran to visit Imam Khomeini's Mausoleum and pay tribute to their late Imam.
