UN Lebanon Envoy to Visit

UN Special Coordinator for Lebanon Sigrid Kaag will travel to Iran in early June to explore ways of facilitating the process of electing the new Lebanese president in meetings with Iranian officials, Fars news agency reported on Wednesday citing the Lebanese newspaper An-Nahar.  Kaag urged Lebanon's feuding political leaders to pick a new president, warning on Monday that the country's year-long power vacuum had undermined its ability to deal with challenges, according to Reuters.
