Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said on Monday his country supports the talks between Iran and the P5+1 (the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany) aimed at reaching a final deal to resolve the dispute over Tehran’s nuclear program, IRNA reported. “Ankara wants the peaceful resolution of Iran’s nuclear issue and backs any agreement in this regard,” he said, “A peaceful solution is the best option, and we hope that it will be a long-term solution and that sanctions against Iran will be lifted.”
“We don’t want the sanctions against neighboring Iran to remain in place because the continuation of sanctions will affect our economy.”
