The commander of the navy, Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari, said on Monday Iran plans to hold joint naval drills with other countries as it staged joint exercises with Russian and Chinese naval forces last Iranian calendar year ending on March 20, IRNA reported. A high-ranking navy official had recently told IRNA that the force will hold joint maneuvers with Kazakhstan, Russian and Oman this year.
