EU Political Director Helga Schmid and Iranian deputy negotiators Abbas Araqchi and Majid Takht-Ravanchi will resume their work on May 12 in Vienna, according to an EU press release. They will then be joined by political directors of the P5+1 (France, Britain, China, Russia, the United States plus Germany) on May 15. In Vienna, the EU political director and Iranian deputy negotiators will continue their work on the drafting of the main text of a Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (the official name of a prospective nuclear accord), based on the key understandings reached on April 2 in Lausanne. In the meantime, technical experts will continue their work on the drafting of the annexes to the main text.
