Iraqi President Fuad Masum will travel to Iran in the coming days at the invitation of President Hassan Rouhani, Ambassador to Baghdad Hassan Danaeifar told ISNA on Monday. It will be Masum’s first visit since he took office as president in 2014. “During the visit, the two countries’ presidents will hold discussions on expansion of bilateral relations and exchange views about regional and international issues,” Danaeifar said. He added that the exact date of the trip will be announced soon. In addition, the envoy said Defense Minister Hossein Dehqan will travel to Iraq in the near future in response to the visit by his Iraqi counterpart which was made several months ago.
