The sequence and degree of lifting sanctions against Iran remain the major obstacles in the talks between Iran and the major powers on a final nuclear deal, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov told Sputnik on Thursday.
“Not all political issues have been resolved in Lausanne… For example, major disagreements still remain regarding the sequence and degree of lifting sanctions,” the diplomat said.
He also stressed that the negotiators need to intensify their efforts to meet the July deadline.
“All what had been agreed upon in Lausanne should be written down on paper, and put into the language of a binding agreement, not legally but a politically binding agreement. This is a painstaking process. And we do not have much time left. We need to speed up,” he added.
