Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani said on Sunday that the US-led coalition against the Islamic State (IS) in Iraq and Syria will certainly fail. The chairman of the Expediency Council said the United States has admitted that if Iran does not cooperate in the campaign against IS militants, the coalition cannot destroy the extremist group. Iran and the US have ruled out any military coordination with each other in the fight against IS.
