Security forces killed a notorious terror leader operating in southeast Iran, a senior intelligence ministry official announced.  The deputy minister of intelligence for internal security said on Thursday Hosham Azizi was killed in an operation in the southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan a day earlier. “In this operation, Hosham Azizi, alias Abu Hafaz al-Balushi, the politico-military commander of the Ansar-ul-Furqan terrorist group and two of his companions were killed,” said the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, Press TV reported.  He added that the terrorist group was founded last year with financial and arms support of some “western-Arab terrorists in the region” with the aim of spreading insecurity and terror and carrying out explosions in southeast Iran.
