Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe expressed satisfaction with the recent growth in relations with Tehran.
Abe made the remarks in a meeting with President Hassan Rouhani on Wednesday in the Indonesian capital Jakarta, IRNA reported.
The two officials discussed bilateral interaction as well as regional and international issues in the meeting which took place on the sidelines of the summit of African and Asian heads of state that started on Wednesday.
President Rouhani had earlier delivered a speech to the opening ceremony of the summit which is being held as part of the 60th commemoration ceremony of the 1955 Asian-African Conference.
