A member of the Majlis majority faction told ICANA on Wednesday a country that holds various elections every year needs stronger political parties, adding that the goal can be achieved through reopening the House of Parties. Lawmaker Hamid Reza Fouladgar lamented the fact that less than ten percent of the registered parities are currently active, noting that the reopening of the House of Parties can inject "vitality" into the parliamentary election on condition that the house would not be "blighted by unethical practices, self-centeredness and financial irregularities."
