In a telephone conversation on Monday, Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani and his Iraqi counterpart Salim al-Jabouri discussed the latest developments in Yemen, IRNA reported.
Larijani said Muslim countries have “an important responsibility” regarding the conflict in Yemen and should increase their efforts to help defuse the crisis.
He added, “The intensification of the crisis in Yemen and the killing of innocent people are to the detriment of all Muslim countries.”
The Iraqi speaker appreciated Tehran’s efforts to put an end to tensions and said Iraq is ready to cooperate with Iran to help resolve the issue.
