Uzbek Ties

In a meeting with the outgoing Uzbek ambassador on Monday, Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif expressed hope that relations between Tehran and Tashkent would be expanded in all areas, IRNA reported.  Akramov Ilkhom Solievich, for his part, said during his 16-year tenure in Iran, bilateral relations improved, hoping that the lifting of sanctions under a prospective nuclear deal between Iran and the major powers will pave the way for increasing cooperation.
