A leading US magazine ranked Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif among the world’s most influential people in 2015. The Time magazine released its list of the 100 Most Influential People in the World on Thursday placing Zarif among the world’s most influential leaders, according to IRNA.
The list was divided into 5 categories: titans, pioneers, artists, leaders, and icons.
Meanwhile, Robin Wright, a joint fellow at the United States Institute of Peace and the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars described Zarif as “the happy face of Iran’s revolution.”
“I’ve known him for three decades, as he helped end the Iran-Iraq war, free US hostages in Lebanon and the coming to power of new Afghan government following Taliban collapse,” Wright said.
