International Atomic Energy Agency Director General Yukiya Amano said an IAEA delegation will travel to Tehran on Wednesday to hold talks with Iranian nuclear officials, Fars news agency reported on Monday.
The most recent round of discussions between Iran and the UN nuclear agency were held in Tehran on March 9.
Ambassador to the IAEA Reza Najafi said after the meeting that the two sides explored ways of speeding up cooperation to help resolve the “outstanding issues” concerning Tehran’s nuclear activities.
IAEA Deputy Director General Tero Varjoranta also reported progress in exchanging information on Iran’s nuclear program.
