Kerry to Brief Congress on Outline Deal

Secretary of State John Kerry, Energy Secretary Ernest Moniz and other senior US officials will head to Capitol Hill this week to brief the US Congress on the outline nuclear agreement with Iran, Ben Rhodes, Obama’s deputy national security adviser, said at a news conference on Friday, Reuters reported. After eight days of intensive negotiations in the Swiss city of Lausanne, Iran and the major powers (the United States, France, Britain, Russia, China and Germany) issued a joint statement on April 2 outlining the key points of a comprehensive nuclear deal, which is scheduled to be finalized by the end of June.
