A senior nuclear negotiator said on Thursday the next round of nuclear talks with the major powers will be held at the level of deputy foreign ministers and experts at a time and venue to be decided yet.

"We are in contact with the deputy of the European Union foreign policy chief to set the date and venue of the next round of negotiations," ISNA quoted Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi as saying.

The most recent round of nuclear talks in the Swiss city of Lausanne, which ended on April 2, produced a milestone framework agreement outlining the key of points of a long-term nuclear deal planned to be finalized by the end of June.

Araqchi said as of the next round of talks, the work of drafting the details of the comprehensive deal will start building on the solutions worked out in Lausanne, noting, "Drafting the text is a very complicated and difficult task."

In addition, he said it is likely that nuclear talks between Iran and the P5+1 (the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany) will be held in New York on the sidelines of the 2015 Review Conference of the Parties to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) scheduled to be held from April 27 to May 22 at the United Nations headquarters, as the presence of the two sides' experts in New York to attend the event creates an opportunity for further discussions.
