Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei granted amnesty to some female prisoners and reduced the sentences of some other female convicts on the occasion of the auspicious birth anniversary of Hazrat Fatimah Zahra (SA), daughter of the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), ISNA reported on Friday. The decision came in response to a request by Judiciary Chief Ayatollah Sadeq Amoli Larijani. The clemency does not apply to the people convicted of some crimes, including armed robbery, arms smuggling, abduction, espionage, and acid attacks.
