US President Barack Obama called Oman’s Sultan Qaboos on Monday to share details of the agreement reached with Iran last week over its nuclear program, the White House said. Obama told Oman’s leader that the months leading up to an end-of-June deadline will be used to finalize technical details to ensure the peaceful nature of Iran’s nuclear program, the White House said in a statement, Reuters reported. Iran denies its nuclear program may have any military objectives.
Obama also reiterated the US commitment to work with Oman and other regional partners to address Iran’s activities in the region, the statement said.
