Iraqi President Fuad Masum described the recent framework nuclear agreement between Iran and the major powers as a “great success,” expressing hope that diplomacy will also be used to address regional challenges to serve the interests of the people in the region, IRNA reported citing a statement by Iraq’s presidential office issued on Saturday. He also said Iraq hopes that a final nuclear agreement between Iran and the major powers will be signed in the near future, adding that the prospective settlement would mark a “new stage” in efforts toward improving security and stability in the region and the world.
