The foreign ministry spokesperson said on Thursday it is “regrettable” that Britain, whose support for terrorist groups has resulted in the rise of the Islamic State extremist group in the region, makes an improper judgment about Iran which has spearheaded the campaign against terrorism. Marzieh Afkham made the remarks in response to British Prime Minister David Cameron who said in his address to the UN General Assembly on Wednesday that Tehran and London have severe disagreements on Iran’s alleged support for terrorist organizations, its nuclear program, and its treatment of its people.
