A member of Tehran city council said reformist groups have reached a "consensus" to have a "strong" and "effective" presence in the campaigns for the 2016 parliamentary election. Speaking with IRNA on Tuesday, Ahmad Hakimipour, who is also the secretary general of the pro-reform Will of Iranian Nation Party, predicted that "reformists and moderate principlists" will dominate the next Majlis.
