Sharing experience between Iran and Venezuela in confronting the US coercive approach can help enhance cooperation, synergy and preserve the independence of the two nations, ICANA quoted the chairman of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee as saying. Alaeddin Boroujerdi made the remarks in a meeting with Venezuelan Ambassador to Tehran Amenhotep Zambrano on Monday. Pointing to growing relations between the two countries, Boroujerdi said there is great potential for cooperation that should to be utilized through planning to serve mutual interests. He expressed Iran’s readiness to share experience with Venezuela in various fields, especially dealing with sanctions against Venezuela, and called for increased economic, industrial, and commercial collaboration.
Zambrano, on his part, appreciated the Islamic Republic’s full support of Venezuela in international circles. He also denounced the US involvement in Middle East crises, saying, “Not only such interference never helped establish peace in the region, but it resulted in the spread of violence.”
