Former US ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton said on Saturday President Barack Obama is negotiating “an unprecedented act of surrender” with Iran in discussions over Tehran’s nuclear program. “This deal is fundamentally flawed,” Bolton claimed, the Hill reported. Commenting on Obama’s recent remark that he was “embarrassed” for the Republican senators who signed an open letter to Iranian officials last week warning them that a deal with the US president could last as long as he is in office, Bolton said Obama’s response was unjustified. He said the senators were not traitors, but rather lawmakers who “stood up for the Constitution.” “The danger we hope to avoid is now imminent (referring to a possible nuclear deal). This is just one example of how the president doesn’t care about America’s national security,” he asserted.
