Members of the central councils of three major principlist groups held a joint meeting in Tehran on Thursday to discuss regional issues and the latest political developments in the country, Fars news agency reported. Mohammad Nabi Habibi, Hossein Fadaei and Morteza Aqa Tehrani, who are respectively the leaders of the Islamic Coalition Party, the Society of Devotees of the Islamic Revolution and the Resistance Front of the Islamic Revolution, attended the meeting.
The three political groups reportedly reached common ground on efforts to forge greater “convergence” among principlists and “political strategies” to deal with the challenges facing them.
