IRGC Regional Achievements Highlighted

The commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps described the advisory role the country has been playing in the fight against terrorist groups in Iraq and Syria as "among the important achievements of the Islamic Revolution."
"Today, like the Palestinian and Lebanese nations, the Iraqi and Syrian people acknowledge the influential role of the Islamic Revolution," Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari said.
"Because of this, they are grateful to the Iranian nation, and despite the propaganda campaign mounted by the enemy to set Arabs against non-Arabs, we are now witnessing an increasingly close relationship between the nations."
He made the remarks in an address to a meeting of the Assembly of Experts in Tehran on Wednesday, Fars news agency reported.  Pointing to the vast scope of Iran's international and regional influence, Jafari said, "The resistance that the Lebanese group Hezbollah has put up against Israel, which purportedly has one of the most powerful armies in the world, is a miracle created by the Islamic Republic."
