Presidential aide Ali Younesi denied the report that he has suggested Iraq is part of Iran, saying the Islamic Republic has never sought "expansionism" and "aggression". "The Islamic Republic of Iran is opposed to violating borders, aggression and interference in the internal affairs of other countries," IRNA quoted his as saying on Tuesday. He added that Iran's principled policy is to respect the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Iraq and other regional countries.
