President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif held a meeting in Tehran on Monday, Fars news agency reported. Zarif said Iran is ready to expand its relations with Tatarstan in all areas, adding the fact that one of the consulates of the Islamic Republic is based in Kazan indicates the importance Tehran attaches to cooperation with the Republic. Minnikhanov said the republic is keen to help promote cooperation between the private sectors of the two sides.
