In a statement read out at the meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency board of governors on Thursday, Ambassador to IAEA Reza Najafi criticized supporters of the Israeli regime in the UN Security Council for their efforts to prevent exertion of any pressure on the regime to abandon its nuclear weapons program. At the meeting, Iran, along with some other member states, including some Arab countries, Venezuela and Cuba, denounced Israel and its weapons program as the "only impediment to establishment of a Middle East free of nuclear weapons," IRNA reported.
