The deputy chairman of the General Staff of the Armed Forces said on Monday the military are ready to deal with any threat against the interests of the Islamic Republic, Fars news agency reported.
Lieutenant General Massoud Jazayeri made the remarks in response to US Secretary of State John Kerry, who said on Sunday that the US deserves to be given time to exhaust diplomatic means to reach a nuclear deal with Iran that would prevent any need for military action to curb Tehran’s nuclear ambitions.
“If the United States makes a stupid military move against Iran, we will show them the real might of the Islamic Republic,” Jazayeri said.
