The deputy foreign minister said Iran has adopted the same approach toward developments in Bahrain and Syria.
Speaking at the second international conference on the theme of "Global System, Regional Developments and Foreign Policy," which started in Tehran on Monday, Hossein Amir Abdollahian said, "Iran follows the same foreign policy in Bahrain and Syria" that involves encouraging parties to hold political dialogue and seek national solutions and opposing any foreign intervention, Fars news agency reported.
The official said the Middle East is experiencing one of its most turbulent periods after the Cold War, adding that rapid and complicated developments along with increasing foreign interventions are among the characteristics of the current situation in the region.
